7-9-7
Ultra Human Rock Fountain
7-9-7 is a four-piece band from Los Angeles, California. Their story sounds like a tale from a Hollywood movie. It all began in July 98, when vocalist/guitarist Andy Susemihl, who moved from Europe to California in the spring of 94, Andy picked up drummer Gabriel Serra from L.A. Airport. They hadn’t seen each other for 11 years and already shared a tremendous history in their teen ages as local heroes in various bands in the southern regions of Germany. They eventually went their separate ways to musical maturity, Andy touring the world supporting acts such as “Guns’n Roses” and “Ozzy Ozbourne”.
Gabriel, who initially came to L.A. to become a helicopter flight instructor, changed his mind after he saw Andy’s solo performance that night and so they decided to put a band together. The perfect match for the bass position was soon found in bassist Pando, a session player and a native of San Diego, CA. After the first recordings and local shows, the band was picked for “Buzzing 20” by the famous “Hits Magazine” and went to Europe as a supporting act for “Deep Purple”. Upon returning to L.A. they still had to fulfill several musical contracts. They recorded their self-produced, debut album. After Don Henley and Stan Lynch introduced 7-9-7 to Rob Jacobs (U2, Alanis Morisette, Eagles), Rob Jacobs mixed their first single, “Get me to the World on Time”. 7-9-7 was recently supporting their music with a series of shows at some of L.A. most noteworthy clubs such as the Viper Room and the Whisky with their new guitar player Jeff Morose who just got off tour with “Alice Cooper”.
7-9-7 is currently playing venues both in Europe as well as in the United States.
